PC Assemble
This lab session taught me how to dismantle and reassemble a desktop computer. This improved my understanding of how various hardware components function together. I learned how to locate and examine important components, such as the motherboard, CPU, RAM, drives, power supply unit, ventilation system, and internal cables, during the session. This was the first time I saw my theoretical knowledge being used practically. An example is shown through the image above, which depicts an interior view of a CPU case obtained during our laboratory session.
Following the completion of the practical tasks, a test was given to assess our understanding of hardware components and the correct order to construct a PC. Overall, this experience increased my self-confidence in handling and assembling actual computer hardware correctly. I am certain this will be useful for future college coursework or jobs in cybersecurity and information technology.
